Touching the Earth Land Company LLC is the parent company to Kohala Village Inn who provides payroll and Human Resource Services. Management and supervision will be provided by Kohala Village Inn.
Job Description
The Hospitality Specialist is the face of the organization and requires a friendly, warm and inviting presence at all times. Duties may vary from front desk registrations to housekeeping and inventory, and requires a high degree of customer service at all times. This position may require the ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
Essential Functions:
Guest Services
Provides front desk coverage as needed which includes answering phones, registering guests, retail sales and inventory, as well as inquiries related to hotel and concierge services
- Maintains room assignments and registration information
- Assist in preparing invoices, and explaining charges to guests
- Assists with responding to reviews
Housekeeping
Maintains clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area, entryway, hallways, walkways, stairs, and event spaces
- Cleans floors, dusts furniture and fixtures, empties trash, and maintains cleaning supplies
- Ensures guest rooms are cleaned, sanitized and stocked with appropriate linens and supplies
- Wash, dry and stock laundry in appropriate locations, as well as maintain a clean and organized laundry room
- Provides deep cleaning to facilities as scheduled
- Reports all maintenance (of immediate and preventive concern) issues to management
Strict Confidentiality
Working at Kohala Village Inn often gives you access to information about guests that should not be made available to anyone else (other guests, employees, family members, etc.), except at the request and discretion of management
- The confidential nature of your work requires that you never disclose any information you may acquire about the affairs of the Kohala Village Inn or any of its bookers, supplies, customers, and guests.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Prior experience in hospitality (providing customer service) preferred
- High School diploma preferred
- Basic computer and phone skills required
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Ability to operate all necessary office and cleaning equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to be self-motivated and show initiative in your work
- Ability to provide top quality customer service at all times
